What is a virtual law firm?
A virtual law firm is simply a law firm that does not have a brick and mortar office. We do this to keep our overhead low and to enable us to provide you with affordable prices for the legal services we offer. Virtual firms are becoming extremely popular these days!
What kind of services do you offer?
You can see our services if you click on the various icons for the different areas of law we offer. We have a large selection of services to fit almost any legal need. We offer unbundled services and a few traditional services, but we highly recommend the unbundled services for affordability and convenience.
How do I book an appointment with one of the other lawyers on the site?
Simply let us know when you schedule an appointment which lawyer you want to talk to. The other two lawyers specialize in Business law, so they are excellent to consult with for legal issues in that area.
What happens once I become a client?
Once you decide to hire us, you get your own client portal. There you can see the documents we have prepared for you as we prepare them and ask us questions at any time. In addition, you will have access to our virtual library, which includes guides and resources so you actually understand what is going on in your case.
So…you don’t come to trial with me?
That’s correct. We are not trial attorneys. We do that so we can provide unbundled services. Therefore, if you have a case you know is going to trial at some point, you may not want to use our services. I will say, very few cases go to trial nowadays. The goal is settlement. But if you are unsure about your case, call us and we will let you know if we are a good fit for your specific needs. We also have trial attorneys on call who only handle that aspect of a case, so if you hire us and end up going to trial, we’ve got you covered.
If I have a hearing, what happens?
If you hire us for something that has a hearing, such as a restraining order or a Family Abuse Prevention Act order, we will gladly coach you so that you’ll know exactly what to do at your hearing. We also offer hearing coaching and strategy coaching as one of our services.
What happens if the opposing party has an attorney at a hearing or at trial?
Like I said, we are very discerning about the cases we take. If we feel like it will not be in your best interest to use our site, we will let you know before you become our client. However, if you know you’re going to want a lawyer with you at trial because the opposing party has one- we do have lawyers on call who just do trials. Call us and we can tell you more!
Can I hire you for more than one thing?
Of course! You can hire us for your entire divorce case: petition, temporary motions, judgment, etc. Or in different areas of law. We also have subscription services available for clients who want to retain us and have us do things as they need them.
Do I have to book a consultation? Why is it $35?
We do require prospective clients to book a consultation. It’s the only way we can truly make sure our services are right for you. They cost $35 because we have found that people take them more seriously if we charge something.
I still don’t get unbundled services…
Well, the easiest way to describe them is to think of an entire case as an album you can buy on Itunes. Sometimes you just want one song though, not an entire album. With unbundled services, you get to buy one song. So you save money and you are not paying for extra services- like photocopying, emails, phone calls, etc. You’re also not paying for an attorney to get billable hours. It’s really a great way to get legal services without going bankrupt!
